Our Favourite Looks From The Sun Met

Fashion lovers from all around the country gathered at the 134th edition of the Sun Met on Saturday January, 27 at Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town. This year’s theme being ‘Style Ahead of the Field’, horse-racing fanatics were expected to go dressed in colors, prints, textures and elegant Afro-chic-inspired looks.

The event might have been ‘Africa’s Richest Race Day’, but our focus was more on the fashion than the race. And certainly on retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, who was also present.

Many celebs are known for not always following the theme, and so while some put their best fashion foot forward, others looked like they just were just out for a stroll. We count down some of our favourite looks of those celebrities and fashion fundis who did interpret the theme, and didn’t look like they were just wrapped in fabric.
