American Music Awards 2017: Red Carpet Fashion

The 2017 American Music Awards red carpet was full of glitz, glamour and surprises. From Selena Gomez debuting blonde hair, Diana Ross’ dramatic over the top dress to in your face sheer dresses. Here’s what stars wore to the show.

DEMI LOVATOOne that always brings it when she steps onto the carpet is Demi! She stepped onto the carpet in a strapless black gown, featuring a trend that will be big in 2018: ruching. She completed the look with sparkly jewellery.

PINKOk! We have to be honest but we aren’t quite sure on Pink’s red carpet choice. It’s the look we saw on the carpet and just went blank. We love that she always has fun and tries different styles and trends however this look…. could it be because we are used to seeing her in androgynous clothing or gowns with an edge to it? We are so confused!

SELENA GOMEZSelena debuted a platinum blond hairstyle on the carpet and we must say we loved it! The star stepped out  in an edgy coach leather mini dress. she looked sexy and fierce AF.

TRACEE ELLIS ROSS

Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the American Awards and we can easily say she was the best host that the American Awards has ever had. She had a lot of outfit changes and every change was surprising and exciting. She first stepped out in a maroon head to toe sequined gown that just looked amazing and made a statement! Let’s have a look at the other looks from the night.

JENNA DEWAN TATUMAlways looking extremely sexy and drop dead gorgeous is Jenna, she just always makes a moment on the carpet. This look was effortless and even if she had no accessories at all, it would still stand out on the carpet.

KELLY ROWLANDOne of our favourite looks on the carpet! The pure beauty Kelly Rowland wore a velvet gown that featured mesh detailing and colourful beading. This look is very playful, trendy and sexy.

CIARACiara went for a full on wet look, and even though we understood the concept, we are a bit hot and cold about this look. We think if she didn’t go for a wet hair look, this look would just be perfect, with no faults. The singer wore a patent leather dress with knee length patent leather boots. This look is bad ass, but we wish she didn’t go for the wet look hairstyle.

ASHLEE SIMPSONThe singer went for a 70s inspired look in a dazzling sparkly colourful dress that stood out from far. The dress fitted like a glove and featured bell sleeves which is another huge trend. We loved this look! We felt like heading to a DISCO PARTAAY!!!

DIANA ROSS

Diana made an entrance when the music superstar stepped out in a black gown and an amazing dramatic headpiece. Diana was honored with a lifetime achievement award during this year’s ceremony and even gave an epic performance of some of her many hits.
