WE find ourselves in a time ruled by effortlessness: dishevelled hair is in, “done” hair is a population in decline. But it is a welcome change to see a perfectly sculpted voluminous ‘do. The sculpted look is definitely influenced by different eras. The trend towards 60s fashion gave us everything from the Bardot bouffant to mod androgynous crops. The 70s and 80s gave us the kinds of glamour that comes from blow drying and tubes of gel respectively. Now is the perfect opportunity to do a structured, pristine, neat style that defies effortlessness and still hits the trend note.
A sculpted look can still feel modern, thanks to a deep side-part. After applying gel and moulding hair into a wave in front, coil up the back and secure with a U-shaped pin.

Sixties inspired hair is hot right now. Create a small beehive at the top of your head by lightly teasing the roots and then smoothing it out again to give some subtle texture and height.

TIP: The goal with this style? A lot of shine and bounce.
