Trend To Try: Feeling Blue

NO-ONE can deny the classic beauty of a neutral smokey eye or a black winged liner, but it looks like this might be the year we embrace something different. If the red carpets and runways are anything to go by, we’re going to get a high dose of colour injected into our make-up routines. When it comes to pulling together a make-up look, remember: the brighter, the better. Here’s how to wear killer bright blue with pride.

BLUE is more forgiving than basic black, but more eye-brightening than brown. It can be both bold and simple. A flash of cobalt-blue eyeliner frames the lower lashline and enhances eyes or it can add extra intrigue when navy is used over black on eyeliner. In short, go with extremes – opt for one end of the blue colour spectrum or the other. Leave the powders be. Use gel-like formulas to get the most pigment.

TIP: TO amplify colour even more, tap a powder eyeshadow in the same shade on top of liner.
